EMPLOYED and INCUR ALLOWABLE EMPLOYMENT EXPENSES?
Many people are employed by someone else, but in the course of their employment activities incur expenses that are directly related and connected to the earning of their income. If this is you, and you are not reimbursed for some or all of those expenses, please feel free to use our Employment Expenses Worksheet to compile your allowable employment expenses for the year. Send the completed form to us to help us prepare your personal tax return and to claim the expenses that you are entitled. You will also need to obtain and send us Form T2200 Declaration of Conditions of Employment, completed and signed by your employer.
OWN A RENTAL PROPERTY?
If you own a rental property, or if you rent out a portion of your own home, please use the Rental Income and Expenses Worksheet to compile your income and expenses for the year. Once you’ve entered your information, the Excel spreadsheet can easily be sent to us to help us prepare your personal tax return which includes your rental property activities.
BUSINESS INCOME AND EXPENSES WORKSHEET
for self-employed individuals
The attached spreadsheets are made available online to provide self-employed individuals with a user-friendly means to accumulate their business income and expense information for the year.
Simply download the appropriate spreadsheet file, open it and begin to enter your data into the applicable rows and columns on the various tabs provided, as they apply to your circumstances. As you enter your information (from your receipts, payments, etc.), the worksheet automatically accumulates your raw data into useful, usable and informative summaries.
When you’ve completed your data entry and checked your work for completeness and accuracy, simply attach your saved file to an e-mail and send it to me. I will use this data to prepare year-end financial reports and other tax requirements.

EMPLOYMENT EXPENSES WORKSHEET
for employees (T4 slip) eligible to claim Employment Expenses
If you were employed during the tax year and you were eligible to claim expenses incurred by you during the earning of your income (e.g. salesman, broker, etc.), this spreadsheet may be useful to you to accumulate your expenses for the year.
To ensure your eligibility to claim Employment Expenses you must obtain a completed copy of CRA form T2200 – Declaration of Conditions of Employment. This form is to be completed by your employer (authorized individual), and provided to you for your use in completing your tax return.
It is important that you and your employer be familiar with CRA booklet T4044 – Employment Expenses.
